Default Spark plug cover cleaning.

On my spark plug cover where it says "Honda DOHC VTEC" in silver, there are little black stains on it. What would be the best thing to use to get the stains off of it?

Can just use some sandpaper or something with a sanding block. Works pretty well usually.

Thanks for the reply. I'm assuming you are referring to wet sand paper? Any idea what grit would be best?

When I had done mine I just used some 200 or something grit. Not wet sandpaper. That cleaned them up really nice and then did a little higher grit after. I wanted the brushed look on them though. I have since completely ground the raised lettering off though.

I used a dremmel with rubbing compound and a fealt round tip and it took it right off and left a great shine. I did not want to sand it down preferred something a bit more suttle and less agressive.
