Default Spark Plug Recall - Done with Pics!

I had my appointment earlier today to have the spark plug recall completed and asked if I could take some pictures. The service advisor and tech (Lee) were most kind to allow me the opportunity.

Updating the manual. . .

Getting started. . .

Coming to an end. . .

All in all, the service call took less than 20 minutes. The tech knew what he was doing and had just done one on an S2000 yesterday.

I hope the pics give some insight on how simple this recall is.

I would hope the tech wouldn't have trouble changing spark plugs.

What was in the box that says Made in Canada?

I believe it was something for a Volvo.

My tech took a hammer when he was done and wacked some type of ID mark on the firewall.....did this tech do that?

Nice post, but I thought the recall was for the gaskets fitting loose?

Hmmmm. . .I don't believe so. I guess I can check it out and see if he did it after I walked away. Where is yours located? In the front or side?

honestly tho, replacing sparkplugs is a very simple task on an s2k. On other cars tho such as my WRX and friends RX7 is a whole different story! How complicated COULD it possibly be? I know torque wrenches can be confusing tho.. Next we'll see a step by step procedure on filling up the gas tank. *poke* just messin w/ ya!!

Yeah, he should have poked a mark above one of the digits on your VIN (can't remember which digit gets poked for this fix). For those of us lucky enough to have gone through the seatbelt recall fiasco, you should have a punch mark on the VIN for that, as well.

I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS. WHEN DID YOU BUY YOUR S2000? HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THE RECALL? WHAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE RECALL? AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST. WOULD MINE BE SUBJECT TO THE SAME RECALL? I BOUGHT MY 2002 ON 7/12.
