I have a question, I bought my 2000 s2k in the states and brought it over to Ontario, Canada were I live. Will canadian dealerships service an american s2k for the recall? And if anyone is wondering why I bought the car in the states, it's because white is not availible in Canada,

Am I the only one that has an inordinate fear of leaving my car at the dealer? I picked the kit up and installed the plugs myself. I'll take a car in for major repairs, but routine things like fluids and filters, or spark plugs, are simple enough for anybody to handle. How do you prove that scratch or dent in the fender wasn't there before being serviced? Or, how do you know the work will be done right? The Honda dealer I have closest to me is very good and I do trust them, but on the other hand, nobody else will take the time or be as careful with my car as I am.

No, you are not the only one. There are many on this forum who feel the exact same way as you.
It would be great that if my dealer would just give me the plug kit but most won't. They consider the actual installation of the plugs as being the important part of the recall. And any such work must be done by an authorized dealer.

That surprises me that they did that, for reasons xviper stated. I am glad they did that for you, and I will check with my dealer to see if they will accomodate me the same way. The sticker update is why I really want to have this done. I am otherwise staying with the iridium plugs.

I guess I was fortunate. I called and spoke to somebody in Parts and they hesitated when I asked about my picking up the parts, but they let me speak to a Service Writer and he didn't have any problem with it at all. I had the bubble wrapped plugs, and a 3 page instruction sheet in my hot little hand 30 minutes later. I just figured the worst they could do was say "NO". I hope other dealers are as accommodating, for those of you that would rather do it yourself.

Good Luck
