Vin,you should go to or call a dealer and have them check your vin number to see if your car is part of the recall I also have an 02 but mine was built in Sept of 01.Most but not all of the 02's are part of this recall(or so I've been told) so that may be the reason you never got a letter,but play it safe and go have it checked out.
