Speechless
Good to hear you are loving it. After about 2years of ownership I still get the shivers when I take it out on a spirited drive through the mountains. When everything just clicks and the car feels great, I cant think of any better feeling. The S2K is truely a unique car that works with the driver like no other.
I thought the cable operated throttle body was so nice to feel again on my 02 S2K after driving ETB vehicles for a few years. Sometimes getting back to basics just feels right, nice post and I hope you keep enjoying these special little cars.

I'm guessing a '01 Silverstone/Black (from his profile on the left) ;-)

OP enjoy your S, I have had mine for almost a decade and I can never come to part with it evevy spring when I take her out she makes me feel like a schoolboy in
all over again.
I fully understand what your saying. I was looking for a sport car and my serach was narrow to three cars. miata, rx-8 and S2000. I ruled out the miata for the local price. For the same amount of money a Purschased the S2000. I really loved rotaries and the rx-8 was a freat great car. But even loving rotary engine and knowing tha the Rx-8 is a great great sport car and pick the S2000. After a test drive I was in love. High rpm, front engine rear wheel drive, LSD Its the perfect recipe for a great smile!!. The s2000 is my addiction
Thanks again for all the kind words!
I couldn't stop thinking about driving it all day today. It's been a long time since I had a car *constantly* on my mind. Can't wait for the drive to work tomorrow morning
Trying to go to sleep now.

Once I got home (tired, dying to have a shower, a drink, and something to eat), I couldn't help but go outside, and stare at it in my garage. This is really mine?
I did the same thing for the first few nights. I'd also wake up in the morning and run down to the garage just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Great details. Glad you enjoy the car. Oh, and you got the most common color as well!
Congrats on your new S2000! I remember my first drive on a twisty road. You're gonna miss that convertible top though come fall in Texas!
