Speechless
I know how you feel man, I typically drive mine only on the weekends, except for today. I took it to work because I knew the sun was gonna be out(its been pretty crappy weather the past few weeks) and it felt like the longest 8 hour work day ever. But I tell ya, walking out to the parking lot and staring at it as I walked closer knowing that it was MY car brings an ever bigger smile to my face, this car really is a great "pick me up" when you've had such a long day.
Hello & Welcome
You don't have to be young to get a thrill out of this car. I'm nearing 60 and have had my AP1 since FEB. A roadster was always on my "bucket list" and I did a lot of research before picking the S2K. One thing that convinced me was a video on You-Tube
with the British show TOP GEAR.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWnHPbUMlMU
My wife & I have been doing 300-400 mile day-trips around Florida (all back-roads), I even bought "driving shoes". We Love It!
We've discovered some of the best roads are right where we live which is a ridge that runs from Brooksville to Dade City FLA ( 200' elev, alot for south Fla ). Back-country roads with the top down (a fine lady/kick-ass sound system/a couple of cold ones in the truck don't hurt either ) is the best way to appreciate this car.
ENJOY!

Carbon Blue: I feel like you do every day. I love driving home now, it's a great way to wash away the feeling of a long day at the office.
StartMeUp: I love that video! I have seen it a few times, Clarkson is an absolute classic. I hope I still can afford to put gas in my S2000 twenty years from now. Might be cheaper to buy diced unicorn than gas by that stage

When I paid my "S" off I got in my mind the question what do I get next to put beside her in the garage and after driving a whole bunch of other cool cars I thought would be great I come to realize just how much car the S2k was and how underwhelmed I was in just about everything else!
However I found one car that I thought was better than the S and that was an 02 911. Steering,Handling,Braking and the Sound and Torque of that flat 6 were unreal. I know how drug addicts feel now . One hit off a 911 test drive and now I am hooked for life! No cure. No going back to lesser cars. Oh to have the S2k and a newer 911 . That is your ultimate pair of fun!!

I have the same setup, Silverstone 01, black interior...and when I first got it I also did the walk to the garage to look at it and ask myself, "Is that really mine?" I'm also 20 years old so its a huge milestone for me to be able to own such a machine. I picked my up for a steal with 58k on the dash but I do have to clean it up(bumper/lip needs new paint) and give it a hardtop and some new wheels. Enjoy it brother...its quite a car to own.
