Speeding, test pipes, and morality

Would you care to share links to these "statistics"? Knowing what Mark Twain said about statistics. Considering that there are just as many "statistics" that can show the opposite correlation.
Try this for starters. You can Google as well as I, and there's an endless supply of such.

Why? You arrogantly break the law, and then come up with all sorts of idiotic ways of justifying doing so. At least be a man, and say you just reserve for yourself the power to decide which laws you'll obey, and which you won't, rather than coming up with feeble rationalizations for breaking laws which aren't very hard to follow (and in the case of gutting your cat, it's actually more trouble to break the law than to follow it).
Interesting. How, exactly, have you "established" that I'm a hypocrite? Oh, yeah, it's because I have the nerve to point out that that you arrogantly break the law, to the detriment of public health and safety. Wow....
It's interesting how defensive the scofflaws are. I guess they know that there really is no legitimate "justification" for what they do, so they just grasp at straws. As I said before, the least you could do is just say you don't respect laws or the health and safety of your fellow citizens, so you'll drive how you want, and without your cat if you want. But, no, you have to come up with ridiculous rationalizations to convince yourself that what you are doing is fine.
And Mike, add "we speed and remove our cat because we've established that 124Spider is a hypocrite" to the ever-growing list.

124Spider,
You need a new car:
http://www.toyota.com/prius/index.html?s_v..._TN_PRIUS_INDEX
You can probably have them speed limit it to 50 mph for you too and then you can sit in judgment of all the other arrogant, law flaunting slobs in the world.
Don't know how well you can autocross one of those, but at least you'll feel superior and more enlightend than everyone that kicks your ass around the cones.
Don't forget to update your avatar!

Ah, so now the last refuge of the scofflaw is to demonize the guy with the nerve to point out the, uh, absurdities of your "position." Keep at it; maybe you'll succeed in convincing yourself that being a scofflaw is fine because 124Spider reserves his speeding for the racetrack and autocross. And his S2000 still **gasp** has a cat.

The "do not remove" tag is still on your mattress isn't it?
124, I think they got confused about the hypocrisy, thinking you admitted it when I was the one who did.
I'm going to have to amend my theory about compliance with laws: people are OK with obeying laws provided that everyone else, including cows, has to obey standards just as strict.
