so my Question is should i fight this?
Your call. I always use countermeasures to avoid getting tickets in the first place and a good traffic attorney for any tickets I end up with.

Did he get you with the speed gun? If he did they're suppose to show you the speed.

Well ...LA TI DA.... What difference does it make that you were in your Explorer anyway?? Don't they have speedometers??????? You didn't mention that in your opening comments . I didn't know an Explorer would do 84 mph. Sounds like with such an attitude you deserve not only a ticket but a spankin as well.

I never had to sign any of the tickets I got. Looks like you just gotta plead not guilty, might take away points and increase the fine and then just pay it.

lol ok thats enough of that. yes i understand i wasn't very specific on the car but my description of what happened was just a gerneral idea of what was going on. the car didn't matter what mattered was that i got a speeding ticcket and he didn't make me sign for it. i asked for help on what to do not for smart @ss users to tell me that the gauges on an s are orange i already know that. if your offened by that just leave the thread its as simple as that

your located in new york correct? i'm located in MD down here everytime we recieve any kind of citation we have to sign it that way if we decide to plead not guilty they have documentation that we agreed and recieved the fines presented to us that is why i don't know what to do i have never had this happen to me before.

Ah weird. Well I would still plead not guilty no matter what. Any state I have gotten a ticket in I have plead not guilty and it has always been reduced or points dropped and just paid the fine etc.

fight it brother. Not signing the ticket does not invalidate it in many States (NC) for one. Take him to court or get an atty to plead it down. Its not the 160 you need to worry about but the points and citation on your driving record that WILL cost you down the road, again. I never let them go by anymore, 'right or wrong' you are innocent until proven guilty and since those citations are criminal misdemeanors, you very well should go to court and make them prove you are guilty. If every person who ever got a traffic citation showed up in court, there would be a lot less citations...

Freedom buddy, exercise it.

That's right ...It doesn't matter what car you were in. But then you're the one that brought it up remember? Oh and it was someone else that informed you about the orange speedo. Read and learn. I told you in my county that it would be thrown out. If you want to cry and whine about your ticket then be my guest. If you can't own up to your traffic infractions and don't want the added cost of fines and insurance premiums, then the best advice you'll get anywhere is to slow the &^%$# down.
