SpeedMount Took My Money
I placed an order online on Sept. 13, 2002, for a Speedmount kit. I placed the order on the website using PayPal (which is offered through their website). I also paid an extra $22.00 for UPS "Blue Label" service. The reason I did not participate in the groupbuy was because I wanted my Speedmount for the Dragonball run - which I did not get to attend anyway. I e-mailed the company on Sept. 30, 2002, stating that I had not recieved my kit and wanted a status update. I recieved an e-mail from the company on Oct. 3, 2002, apologizing for the delay and stated my package would ship the next day and that my $22.00 for shipping would be refunded. I e-mailed the company again on Oct. 10, 2002, stating that my package still had not arrived and that I would be contacting PayPal on the matter. I contacted PayPal on Oct. 17, 2002, and also sent a "Request Money" to Renntechnik at the same time. PayPal stated that since I did not file the complaint w/in thirty calendar days that they may not be able to help me. Unfortunately, I already had the funds in my account, so I did not use a credit card for the transaction. I sent a fourth e-mail to the company yesterday, stating that I would contact PayPal again and also post threads on every automotive forum that I can source until the matter is resolved.
I have exhausted all my efforts in trying to purchase and/or recieve my money for a Speedmount product. I have left countless voicemails and have never recieved a reply other than the one e-mail I previously mentioned. If anyone could assist me in the matter, I would be humbly in their debt. Here is the e-mail address the company uses for it's PayPal transactions:
Patrick Schurtenberger: pschurtenberger@cox.net
This is their general e-mail: sales@renntechnik.com
This is their telephone number: (949) 389-0168
Again, please take extreme caution when purchasing from this company. The are an extremely poor company; words cannot explain my distaste for this type of behavior. If anyone would like copies of my transaction via PayPal or the e-mails that have been sent -or- the one that has been recieved, please feel free to ask.

I emailed these guys before the group buy asking for photos and more info for the S2000 camera mount. To date, I have not heard a word from them. If they canot answer emails from folks wanting to buy their products, then that certainly doesn't bode well for their business....
Unfortunately I had the available funds already in my PayPal account. I have sent a "Request Money" to Renntechnik (the company that produces the Speedmount) and hopefully something will come of that. I also sent the company another e-mail stating that I had started a thread on this message board and would pursue to post this information on every automotive forum until the issue was resolved.
I will not take this lying down ...it was $120.00 of my money.

Do you know anyone who's a lawyer? A quick note on legal letterhead will get their attention very quickly.
Or, write them a nice letter yourself (certified so someone has to sign for it). Politely inform them that you are planning to take them to small claims court if you don't receive your money or merchandise by XXXX date. If you were to win (you should), the court fees alone would cost them a couple of hundred bucks. I'm sure they'll find and return your money very quickly when you make the suggestion.

Send them a certified letter stating the situation, photocopy
your record of payment, and tell them they have 14 days to
respond or you are seeking damages. That usually gets
people's attention.

I'm having the same problem with Import-Store.com
I bought a AEM cold air intake from that site using PayPal and it's been two weeks and no word, even after I've sent them two emails, a fax, and a phone message. I'm about to go on the war path on these guys if it doesn't get resolved soon.
