Or you can just stop being a pussy. Cause you are sooooo much larger then a spider you can easily squish it. And only a few spiders have posion and only a few of those can actually kill you... And dont be an idiot you said I quote " have jumped-out @ intersections & put the hazards on, swerved, etc." you swerve when you see one.. good way to cause an accident you retard. Someday your gonna swerve into a family and kill them all cause your afraid of a little bug... maybe stupid people like you should not drive ever and why dont you grow up. I see damn camel spiders at least once a week over here in afghanistan and i just smash them to death. I guess my point is ummm grow up its a bug there will always be bugs... unless you hide in a bubble haha
Please, try and be more of a douche bag.
Imagine how much tape you'd go through if you taped up the windows everytime you get home
My guess is they're not getting in through the windows. I think the cracks are too small... at least for the big spiders. I would guess the easiest way in would be to hide inside the crack around the door and then jump inside the car when the door is opened.

yeah, i suppose you are right. i still haven't decided on a permanent solution. i vacuum all the time & am fearing raid. i wish i could find a luring trap to stick under the seats. anyone know of one? that way if they do get in, they will retire to the new home i provide for them

Just let them nest inside your garage. That way they'll be happier there and won't bother going inside your car. I have a HUGE spider by the window, just a few feet from the car. The car stays top down in the garage.
The spider makes out so well by the window that he just hangs out there. Keeps the moths away from the car seats, too.
Just be careful of spider babies....

Ha! To the OP, I don't share your phobia of spiders but as some have suggested, dealing with the phobia is likely the best bet. Maybe hypnotism or a psychologist. Expensive, but you'll never win against insects. The little buggers are everywhere. Always have been, always will be. Better to learn to deal with them.
We have spiders in our garage. They must have late summer biological peaks or something. A few weeks ago, and for only a few days, the little rascals were throwing up webs all over our garage. You couldn't walk through without running into webbing attached to the cars, shelving, doors, etc. Clean it up one day and it was back the next. Hard working little bugs! Anyway, I sort of like having them around as they are like free insecticide. They so some serious damage to the rest of the bug population.
I leave my S in the garage with the top down 90% of the time and I can't say that I've ever actually found a little eight legged passenger in the Honda.
On the other hand, I was driving to work in late June with the top down and a huge wasp decided to take a breather from all that tedious wing flapping. At about 35 mph, he landed on the passenger seat. I think he must have instinctively known he would be in trouble if he tried to get airborne again. He just faced into the airflow and hunkered down for about twenty miles. Once I got off the parkway I was on and stopped at a light, I ejected his little freeloading butt back into the atmosphere.
