Default Spin Out...Has anyone had one?

Today I had a near death experience on the interstate driving at 60 mph in the rain. While driving in the middle lane, I felt my car starting to drift. I got scared so I tried to change to the right lane. Right when i did, my whole car just spunned out. 360 Degree!! Lucky, i was ahead of cars on the freeway so I avoided all the traffic behind me.

However, if the grass median wasn't a 2 feet incline, I would of skidded to on coming traffic. I forgot to mention on little detail. My tires were "BALD". Even when the weather is dry, it slight jerks when i change lane.

So my advice, is don't be an idiot like myself who has new tires but didn't put them on yet cause you feel like you can run on them babies for another 1000k.

One quick question guys, I got Perrelli Nero Zero. After changing them from the bald ones, will it be safe to drive on wet conditions? And will I have to fear for my life again?

yup.. unfortunately you are not the first nor the last to do so ...the outcome could have been much worse..

I did not see them as a choice for our cars on tirerack.com but in a diff. search they did resemble the tread of Kumo MX's so I'd say yes, they would be safe to drive in wet conditions, just mind the speed you're doing

Here is my conclusions. Unless you drive your car only in the sunny summer days, for the most drivers, Performance All Season tire is much suitable than SO2 we have.

Always use dedicated snow tires for the winter time ofcourse.

well, i stuck to the perelli because my front were not worn out as much as the back....The guy at tirerack.com told me not to mix up the tires due to different tread. So it made me scared. Or else i would of bought Goodyear Eagle F1's that has 9.1 on wet traction.

Doesn't Kuhmo only have 7.3 in wet traction?

I spun out when I tried to drift in the parking lot. But never on the street.

I went Pirelli also and tested them out on some serious flooded roads. Talk about cutting through water! Going to have to think what summer tires to roll with this year.
