I've spun a few times. One time, after a somewhat high speed spin with several rotations, I was unable to restart the car. I had to remove the key and put it back in the ignition to get it fired back up. No problems after that. ( Although months later my immobilizer unit had to be replaced. I'm sure that one had nothing to do with the other ).

I had a similar problem when I stalled the car while failing at a very steep uphill start. The car just would NOT restart after the stall. When it did start, it ran rough, and died within 10 seconds.

I was convinced I had destroyed something with the stall. Took the keys out, got out and looked at the engine to see if something smells bad. Noticed nothing, got back in, the car started and ran with no problems.

I decided it was an ECU thing like Schatten suspects.
