Sponsor Hit and Run
Should forum participants be allowed to post smack about sponsors without a moderator to make sure that both sides of the story are being expressed?
I think it's highly unfair that by the time a sponsor visits the forum and finds pages worth of rants the damage is done, and it makes them so angry they might reply in a way that is not consistent with their normal temperment.

they are sponsors, they know what happens if they give bad service. and u don't have to listen to what people say, do what you want, they only post to help you make an informed decision
I believe fair-minded people and past customers of sponsors know very well where reality is.
The majority of people on the forum can tell the truth once both sides are explained. You are right, most sponsors or vendors don't always have time browse or explain themselves.
The truth is if a vendor/sponsor here was SO bad, word would get around here SO fast from SO many people that PURCHASED they would be gone.

If I put lots of money into sponsoring a site, it's only fair that they get a reasonable accomodation to avoid slanderous accusations.
Then again, moneymaker is a paying member himself and has a right to express his opinion.
So if it's OK to bash sponsors, how come moneymaker's thread is gone?
Probably because instead of asking people what they think of restocking and shipping fees, he made an attacking post "Another member ripped off by Lucid"
I'm all for free speech, but people shouldn't hit and run.

Even if it is at our loss. We understand that selling a product is one thing, but making the customer happy is the other half of the pie!
I honestly think it is totally fair for members to comment on a sponsors service and or products. It helps point out flaws that maybe the sponsor can improve upon or wasnt aware of. If their product stinks to some, then the customer has the right to say so, since they did fork out the cash. Locking threads/deleting threads only masks the problem. If a customer has a problem, and states a public complaint, and the sponsor can turn it into a positive experience then thats +points for the sponsor and the consumer.

Note that in Moneymakers thread as far as I know Lucid never responded yet he was very well represented. The board members generally don't let good sponsors get slandered without some type of response in their defense.

Well said.
