Does the Spoon snorkel even produce any gains?

uh no....you crazy.

test pipes alone have shown 5whp gains. i gained 8rwhp from just spoon n1 exhuast.

with kn filter, test pipe, vfac tune, expect 15-20rwhp depending on the tune.

This is my plan as well... snorkel/filter, testpipe and vafc2... 20rwhp would be nice!

I am trying a K&N CAI + Mugen Test Pipe + VFAC II! I currently have the K&N CAI piped to the front side vent that I cut out + a TP + my intake manifold coolent bocked and I feel that the car is much more responsive with the mods. My ass dyno says at least 10HP. If VFAC can give me 5+ more or just bring the power on earlier, I would be happy.

I am going to buy a VFAC very soon. I am thinking that my better flow should make a lower VTEC engagement possible while kicking in just as hard as the stock engagement point. I am thinking 5400RPMs at WOT. I'd like to add a header a little later on and maybe try 5000RPM at WOT. I probably wont mess with the A/F ratio too much unless I find a guy with VFAC tune skills. Anyway, what do you guys think?

ok, anyone have an 04+ running the spoon air duct? and have pics? I have had 0 luck finding information on whether it fits the AP2 since it was designed for the AP1, I know it has grooves to slide into place on the front plastic on the bumper but I don't really want to notch a 450 dollar part to make it work when it's already notched. So if anyone has fitment pics that would be awesome.

I've got the Spoon snorkle and did not have to cut anything. Just had to remove that plastic piece in the bumper and the mini funnel on the stock box and that was it.

I believe that the Spoon snorkel produces gains while the car is moving at a fast speed like freeway driving.

A friend of mine recently got an Ap2 bumper and it does fit. From what I saw you just have to take off the bumper to install it.
