Spoon Calipers, Rotors and Pads
Anyone know where I can get a price for these? I have checked the sponsors sites but none have the price qouted and I'd like to get an idea before making further enquiries, even the Spoon site doesn't have any prices, nice pics though
All prices are approximation but close and you need to change from US Dollar to British Pound, I guess?
According to the HyperRev book,
I can see that the Front rotor cost $280 each and Rear rotor cost $220 each
For pads they are in pair $220 on front and $200 on rear.
While those above items are available for sale, I believe the calipers are still not out for sale to publics. But the approximate price seems to be $800 for a pair.
If you live in US then I would say Mingster at Import Development but since you are in UK, you should contact Mr. Giampiero at MG Racing to help you out.
Good luck!

I got a quote about a month ago from http://www.spoon-sports.com :
Calipers: $1,770usd
Front and Rear Rotors: $1,304.91 USD
Not cheap.

I think I got my set of spoon rotors for 100,000 yens or less, so well below 1000usd.
A couple of comments:
The vanes on the front rotors are directional but not left/right handed. Some people may object to this.
Braking is now peppered with a "metal brush over uneven but periodic surface" noise...
Much less rust than on stock rotors but not 100% rust free.
No cracks (holes are cast in not drilled) after 1 year of intensive usage.
Pad wear no different from stock.
No perceived braking performance differences (I bought them for the looks, shame, shame...).

Luis, I'm actually quite surprised. I thought everything you modified on your car was focused on weight reduction thus better performance. You're right : what a shame

PS.
If you are really serious about upgrading your brake system, see what dbw1 is doing in the group buy forum.
