Spoon Drive Shafts

Default Spoon Drive Shafts

I was curious if you guys had any input on these shafts. They are advertized to be stronger. Is it enough to make a diffrence or are we throwing money away..I need imput..

I don't think the spoon driveshafts are built to withstand more punishment than the OEM but they weigh lighter which reduces rotational mass as far as performance. Correct me if I'm wrong guys

They're re-worked Honda units that are better balanced and provide smoother operation.

So then they are not stronger to withstand Moore torque.

They may not be physically stronger, but being smoother and more balanced, the stress on the components are reduced.

A friend of mine has them on his s2k. Before he instaled them, the tripod thing in the stock driveshaft keept breaking. He welded those things a couple of times, but now, with a reinforced housing and the spoon driveshafts he launches the car from 8500 rpm without a problem. In fact, his stage 1 ACT clutch is slipping because of the force (he has toyo r888 semislicks, so they add a lot of stress to the drivetrain). He needs a new clutch now but nu problem with the driveshafts anymore, so i guess the really are stronger

later edit: sorry, i saw the date of the last post after i submited my post, but maybe the info is helpfull fore somebody...
