Default Newbie needs purchase help

The vehicle has 18k miles. It is in Suzuka Blue. Asking price is 19,000.

Beautiful car, very little wear. A bit of curb rash on one wheel, a small tear on the bottom of the steering wheel, a small door ding, and scraping under the nose are the only problems I could find...except for one that has me a bit worried.

The trim that covers the roll hoops behind the seats has separated on both sides, showing about a 5mm gap between the halves. There is glue in there from a repair attempt, which obviously failed.

I've done some research on this problem, enough to know that it's a pain in the ass to bond the pieces back together with conventional glue. From the factory, apparently there was a wire that bonded the two after running current through it which melted the pieces together slightly.

Okay, you now know as much as I know about the car. What should I be looking for? Should I have the retainers checked? I plan on performing a buyer's inspection. Is 19k a fair price in this season? I was thinking of offering 18k due to the problems I found.

Thanks for any advice. I know these threads are probably very common and get old. But I've posted one for every vehicle I've ever purchased
