Spoon Order Gone Missing
Hi People
Right, I live in New Zealand and via my company I bought a Spoon muffler off a very reputable supplier in Northern America.
This was 5 weeks ago.
I was given a tracking number with the national Post service but that hasn't been updated since the second day after paying for the goods. It still says "entered into plant for sortation". There's no indication what it was, where it is or what is happening according to the web site. I've tried to contact the post service in the last few days but being half a world away I suspect my enquiry is on the back burner.
My numerous attempts over the last 2 weeks to contact said dealer has left me with 0 replies. I am now starting to wonder where this item is - if at all.
The company I believe posts / visits here quite often.
Running a similar company here in New Zealand myself, I know for a fact that it does not take 2 weeks to return emails and phone calls regarding this sort of issue. I don't wish to defame this business as something completely legitimate could have gone wrong but what I'd like is someone who knows the business owners to call on my behalf to ask what is going on and / or to get them to contact me back.
The product ordered was a Spoon EK9 Muffler N1, Canadian Post tracking number is CL 005 612 605 CA
The dealer was AJ Racing.
The order was placed for either "Michael Clarke" or "Fortyone Automotive".
Once again I am trying to be as constructive as possible and in return I'd hope that someone closer to AJ could help me out. At first I had spoken to Justin and secondly Diskson took care of the order, receiving payment and shipping the item.
Perhaps directing them to this thread may prove most helpful.
So, I hope someone can help me out.

Yes exactly. I'm not pointing blame anywhere as it could be that Canadian post just don't track international deliverys. Still I feel as if I am being left out on a limb a little! I should add that we're 19 hours ahead so essentially when we can call Canada it's outside of the 9am-5pm =/
Not sure about CA post but USPS is 3-4 days for Express and about 2 1/2 months standard. If you didn't get express it's no surprise you're still waiting. The steam boat is chugging as fast as it can.
For most items I've ordered it's been 2-3 weeks with USPS. Postal delivery times doesn't explain why there's been no replies from AJ however =/ I am sure they have a good idea as to what's happened.

It's a very common story in the automotive industry. If everything goes perfectly there's no problem. As soon as something goes slightly askew the whole thing derails. I think there is a huge difference between customer service expectations in the auto and other industries.
The other thing that amazes me is when you ring a supplier and they are all surley and treat you like you are a pain rather than a paying customer. Everybody has off days, but you're supposed to be professional enough to leave it at home.

To the previous poster - until AJ let me know what the story is lets no juxtopose this case with general industry practise. As many can testify to AJ are ace.
If that was not your intention then I appologise in advance.
