Does anyone have pics of the Spoon rear brace installed? The sheet I got with the brace is no help.

I think it's a straight swap for the stock rear cross brace.

 

Is this a straight bar? If so, then if you look under the car there's a bar that's held up by 6 bolts located right under the differential. The 4 larger bolts are torqued to 33lbs-ft and the 2 smaller bolts are torqued to 7.2lbs-ft

I believe the spoon bar only has the 4 larger bolts.

 

The rear Spoon lower brace is a straight bar, but beefier than stock.

 

OK, then the torque specs I posted is correct Let us know your opinion on it.

The originals were designed for JDM cars and do not accommodate the evaporative emission gear without drilling. Are the new ones drilled for the installation?

BTW, I did not find any improvement with this particular replacement. Let us know if you think it makes any difference.

 

I agree cdelena, no improvement in structural rigidity or handling. Perhaps a miniscule improvement in acceleration through lightened wallet effect.

I have the same opinion as CDELENA and 2x6spds. This mod does not seem to affect the handling of the car in any way.

 

so how did the installation go? take off old, put on new? any drilling necessary?
