Spoon Sports 2000 S2000
Hi,
I recently purchased a salvaged year 2000 S2000 in an insurance auto auction. It had damage to the left drivers side quarter panel and frame. This S2000, however, does not seem to be very normal. Firstly, it has the Spoon Sports paint jub (yellow with blue) along with numerous decals (polyphony digital, meguiars, etc.) It also has the racing number 01 posted on the front bonet and sides. If I research the number, I can't find anything. If you open the hood, however, the car looks stock (I'm guessing the previous owner stripped some of the aftermarket parts off). If you look closely, however, you will notice aftermarket headers on the car. I hope it has more on the inside! My question is whether this S2000 is actually spoon sports or is a look alike. Would appreciate any help you can provide.

My guess is that it is the s2000 that was sponsored by Opak Racing. I remember that there had been one before who was forced to drive around to burn gas before a car show (had to have 1/4 tank or less) and crashed it. It was damage to the front. It could be that one.

Just to clearify. That was one of Team Hybrid's car. It was taken place at Pomona, CA for the Showoff. The car had too much gas to enter into the show. He was driving around trying to burn off gas. Due to the bald tires and cold weather, he rear end stepped out and crashed. The car was freshly painted the week before. Poor guy.

The car you showed me is the exact car. In fact, I purchased it in the same auction. But how do I find what it has in it? A lot of the surface parts (that would be easy to remove) have been taken. But the harder to remove parts like the header weren't touched. How can I find a list of these such parts?
