I'd really like cool looking blue calipers to match my blue 04. Has anybody used any spray on caliper paint (like the stuff that autoworks sells: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ord-Auto~st...paint-1-415.htm)?

It's probably a really stupid question, but would I need to take the brake system to bits to paint the calipers? As you can tell, I know nothing about cars.

Powdercoating is great, if you can handle;
1. removing the calipers,
2. taking them apart,
3. having them powdercoated
4. rebuild calipers w/ kit
5. reinstall and bleed system

or if you have $$ to spend, go to Rick's (site sponsor) and they'll do an exchange/swap for $300 (I think).
You just send back your used set and you get somebody elses reconditioned set that has been powdercoated and rebuilt.

or you can use the G2 paint system and brush it on. You do not need to remove the calipers. Note that you will not have complete coverage of all surfaces as you would with podercoating, but the $$ factor is only a fraction. I personally do not like the concept of aerosols anywhere near the car/paint. I will avoid them if at all possible. The epoxy paint used in the G2 kit is extremely durable, as well. More so than I have seen in any spray-on high-temp paint.

Save money...get the G2 Paint System. It looks WAY better than spray on or any other caliper paint i have seen. I have used it on 3 cars so far with no regrets. Looks great. PS. I painted my calipers silver since it is hard to match a blue that goes with Suzuka.

to spray properly you would need to remove the calipers-
to use the g2 system, you leave the brakes on the car and brush it on. have had mine for over a year and a half now... looks like new.
