If you do move south, the Carolinas are far enough to get you close to warm weather. And closer to Route 129 .

Florida is a little too far. It doesn't matter how warm it is outside if your car doesn't have seats.

I'm looking at the Charlotte region, I plan to be in or around the city for a year or two and when I figure out where I want to live I'll buy a place. I like the idea of Lake Norman, but I want to see what its like before I commit to anything, High Rock lake also looks very nice and quieter then Lake Norman. I'm looking forward to it, by the way it is up to 15 degrees, yippee.

I have already had weather in the upper 80's (OK only 2 days) but have had many in the 70's.

I am sitting here now with all the doors to the house open and the dogs running in and out. I am sitting here..... well, you don't want to know what I do or don't have on.

STAY UP NORTH! Leave us some elbow room down here.

The trees have a light misting of green starting to show and the redbuds and other blooming trees have begun to bloom.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I've thought of the over crowding and did some research. NY and NC are very close in size, with NY being a little bigger. NY has approximately 10m more people then NC, of course we have NYC but that only accounts for 8m people, so in comparison NC should be less crowded then NY.

Don't worry there are plenty of dumb yankees who love their horrible climate, high living costs and a-hole mentality that I think a bulk of them will stay put.
