Default Spring paint question

My friend and I were installing new shocks/springs on my car tonight, and I noticed that some paint on the spring had come off down to the metal...is this going to rust?? TIA

What type of spring is it? Typically they are powder coated.

Spoon springs.....the powdercoat has come off in one spot down to the bare metal, and I just want to make sure that it won't rust or anything.

most springs are made out of steel... yes they will rust.. i would either repaint it (cheaper way to fix the problem) or get them powder coated...imo...
