Default Got a question about spring rates

For example the kg/mm sport springs are listed to have 7.0K front and 8.0k rear rates. I searched for stock spring rates and they're listed as ~200F/~290R or something liek that. obviously these spring rates are expressed in different units. how do the kg/mm spring rates compare to the oem rates?

so i guess its a good choice going with the supersports b/c the race are 9k/10k which would be insane for a daily driver.

thanks for the reply.

i think the espelirs are almost identical to the spoon springs which are only a little more aggressive than stock.

Spoon: Front: 4.7kg/mm and Rear: 6.9kg/mm.
Factory: Front: 3.92kg/mm and Rear: 5.20kg/mm.

thinking about going just springs or springs and konis?
the spoon fixed damper system is approximately the same price.. i was thinking of getting those..

1kg/mm is approximately equal to 65lbs/inch I believe.

thanks for the replies. shiachiu, i will definately be getting new shocks(most likely koni yellows) when i get the springs. i've had aftermarket springs on stock shocks with my 94 accord and the ride was bouncy as hell, never again!

btw do you have more info about the spoon fixed damper setup or show me a vendor that offers these?

thanks again

www.modacar.com and aj-racing has them. yeah i had just springs in my old si.. it was good enough for the si but I want to do it right for the s2k.

the spoon setup only drops about 1" though.. I dont know if thats enough for you? try doing a search.. there was a thread where a guy had pics of his car dropped on spoons.
