Was putting on my new wheels on Tuesday and what do I find - the spring rubbers used for shipping on both front springs. I've put 17K miles and 5 autox's on this thing with those rubbers in there. I'm not pleased! I specifically specified that they make sure and remove them when I bought the car. I checked the back when I got it and that was fine, so I never checked the front. Really bad form on my dealers part. Guess I take some blame as well for not checking all four springs.

Good Lord. Hope you haven't done any damage. Probably not, but you may notice a distinct increase in ride smoothness now that you've gotten them all out!

Yeah, I hope so too. My other car has had torn shock mounts in the rear over time and NYC roads . Hope this hasn't weakened the front shock mounts on the S. I'll be definitely bringing this up with the dealer. I added 17" ASA wheels to replace my horribly worn S02's. Since I've lost a little sidewall height, the ride is at least as stiff, but I like that, my other car has stiff springs so I'm used to it. What I have noticed is a significant decrease in turn in understeer on slow high alpha turns - but that could be due to the increase in rubber on the front.
