Default Spun Out and hit Curb on Rear Right Wheel

Rear right wheel collided with curb going about 30-35
I was heading home and it was raining and I spun out and hit a curb. What does the damage look like has been done telling from the picture.

Like internal damage. I know externally obviously, but could it have damaged the diff possibly?

Probable not. But no matter how you cut it, that is going to be a expensive fix.

I don’t know if any damage other seen by the naked eye has been done. How much would you estimate. 3-4K.

You can buy an entire JDM subframe including the diff for $800ish.

The thing is, insurance is going to pay to fix it. So they will get parts that they deem fit versus me wanting to get whatever parts I want. Thanks very much.

No. Insurance will give you a check and tells you to kick rocks and find your own shop or you go to a shop they assign you and they'll bend you over with aftermarket parts.

Hard to tell from that one pic.
Did you hydroplane? Those tires don't look at that great if you ask me... What kind are they?

you can see it on the side wall - bridgestone turanza.

@ OP, looks expensive. How many miles on the car? what year AP1? They might even total it...

Check out this thread - the first few posts start with a guy restoring a car with the exact same damage as your car. Good luck - you can do it.

Lots of pictures, but quoted this for you so you know what you're looking at.
