Talking more smack about the MR-S is not going to help the situation.

I like the MR-S. I think it's cool looking, and I like the light weight, as well as the engine position. I think it's a good bargain and I wouldn't mind test driving one some day.

 

Personally I far prefer the old MR2 Turbo's to the new MR2 spyders.

It's not a bad car... don't really see why people gotta be haters.

That being said I'm sure there's some of the better s2ki drivers who can spank an Mr2 driver at autox just because of driver skill. And I'm sure some of the better mr2 drivers could spank us on track.

We are all pricks? Man Every S2000 owner I have ever chatted to on here has been quite hospitable. As for the Spider.. I think it is a cool car certainly better than the Miata in looks and performace. But in turns I would have to rate both the Spider and the S2000 very close. I test drove the spider before getting my S and I wasnt as impressed with its performance as I was the S although that price tag was tempting. As for the guy that thinks he can beat anyone because his Spider is charged up thats stupid. The S2K can be charged up too. Why so many pissing contests about who's car is better yada yada yada.. Both are cool cars. But the facts are the S has better performace in almost every area. Im not going to try to tell a Viper owner than my car can whip his.. This is in reference to them thinking we all believe our car is invincible. However I would bet on the S2k every time stock vs. stock same driver calibre. On most any type of course.

 

 

I think S owners have a higher level of intelligence, hence the more hospitable people. I mean come on.. look at what car we chose!

 

I think S owners give a shit because the MR2 owners make immature and unintelligent statements regarding OUR car. Not saying everyone on this thread is perfect either

I read on one of their posts that Honda chose the wrong place to put the engine.
I'm sure the MR2 is a fun car to drive with its rear engine layout and lesser weight, but am I the only one who thinks the MR2 is a tad bit... ugly?

The simplest answer for anyone talking shit about other cars vs. their cars is the following:

"Go run Speedventures and show me your lap time"

or, for those focused on drag racing

"show me a time slip"

Any other discussion, be it about how you outran x with y on a backroad, or how you pulled on this guy on the freeway is hearsay. Its meaningless, taking place under non-controllable conditions. Talk is cheap, lap times say a lot. Everything else is subjective.
