Default Squeaky seat belt

Very recently, a very annoying squeak has developed where the driver's side seat belt goes through the retained by the left shoulder. When I bounce around in my seat, I hear it in my left ear. I know that the belt is moving against the retainer and the leather of the seat back and that is making the noise. Anyone have an idea on how I can STOP this. It sounds like I have mice in the car!!! Thanks in advance. BTW, the seats have been cleaned and conditioned with Lexol.

My '01 just started doing the same thing. No idea what to do about it.

Ahhhh so annoying.....you can take the belt out of the retainer
and let it rest on top of the retainer instead of the slot.....this works but if you take the belt off be careful or it will go behind the seat and requires a good stretch while in the seated position.
If you regularly condition your seats the noise goes away ....get lazy and it will squeak again. best of luck....i've been lazy the last two weeks...so mine is above the retainer right now! Time to get busy! I think ya have to be a certin hieght to have this squeak if i had a bigger frame with larger or higher shoulders i don't think i would get the squeak!

I've had the same annoying problem on my '01 for a while now. I've just been living with it but would love to cure it. I heavily conditioned one afternoon a few weeks back and it didn't make a difference. Do I have to condition many more times to get it to go away. With the recent humidity, it's been really bad. Maybe I should hit the weight room a tad more to bulk up my shoulders...

I have that problem, I was thinking of just putting something, slick like scotch tape there... but I kind of like it, makes it feel clean

I have the solution to the problem.

Take the seat belt retainer off (there are 2 screws)and put some 3M Clear package seal over the shoulder area and screw the retainer back on.

It took me 2 minutes to do it.
No squeaks

I have the same squeaky seatbelt problem. Basically, the belt is rubbing the leather and making squeaking noises. I just leraned to live with it.

tomspedale - bulking up your shoulders won't help. I've got pretty bulky shoulders and I still have the problem.
