Colin, must be another Marc -- I wish I had an NSX!!! Maybe I could get one if I committed "identity theft"

I'm going to try taking the belt out of the retainer and see just how much trouble it is. Thanks, Italian Buck Wheat. Would that reduce my protection?

Peterpan, do you mean 3M Clear Packing Tape? The thick, very clear stuff? How does it look? Is it distracting?

I just don't know if I can get used to it

yeah I mean 3m clear packing tape. (It says "clear label protection package sealing" on the tape)

It's not very thick at all. I'm sure you can use any kinda of clear tape over it as long as it sticks to the leather seat.

Nope, not distracting at all. You only need to put tape over the area where the seatbelt rubs the seat

Just make sure your seat is not oily (from whatever chemical you used to lube the seat and the belt)

I'm going to try the tape thing. Thanks a lot!! I guess if I don't like it, I can always just take it off . . . .

I am pretty sure it's a function of %humidity. As humidity increases, squeak increases. No squeak at <~40% humidity.

There's another thread a couple days ago with a good
fix.
Take a look over there, uses the seat belt guide and a
piece of leather or felt.

Yup, saw that too. Thanks, Sedona. That's probably a more permanent fix. Honda should build that into the guide.

As jedwards said earlier, I think the squeaking gets worse in higher humidity. I'm thinking the talc'll last me a few weeks here in New England. We'll see!

I had it & taking the belt out of the retainer is the easiest solution (it's worth the reach you have to make to get the belt sometimes).
