SRS light help?????

Default SRS light help?????

ok i just put in my new steering wheel and i knew i would have a SRS light but i was dumb enough to sell my OEM steering wheel and i have to get my car inspected...
i know ill be ok with the steering wheel but not with the light is there anyway to turn the light off???

Putting the airbag back in is your best bet. I beleve there are some steering hubs that come with a resister to fool the control unit into thinking an airbag is attached. I wouldn't go probing any SRS wiring, you can cause more damage than your trying to fix. I still reccomend the stock wheel and airbag.

even removing your belts will set off your srs light. i have that problem but don't mind that much. without a doubt you should either buy a new hub or find a wheel to borrow

put a peice of black tape over it. Then you dont have to worry about it in your face

OTher then that, I dont think there is a fuse. Borrow someone's wheel or get a new hub.

pull the bulb. of course you'll have to have the dash ripped apart to get to it.
