Default srt-4 to s2000

so im selling my srt-4 and saving up hoping to buy a berlina ap1 by around summer time. i think its the right decision and i cant wait to be the owner of an s2000 ..i've ridden in a few and driven my friends and they're simply amazing cars..

I was wondering how maintanence is for s2k's...any of you guys have problems with yours?

thanks,

-Sean

Keep track of your oil level/ condition. Oil plays a big role in vtec and the fact that it revs so high. Other than that, just regular maintenance will keep your honda happy.

good luck

No problems with mine, however I would suggest to really drive the S2000 a good amount before buying one. Depending on how modified your SRT-4 is, the S2000 would most definitely not have the same year-round reliability as your FWD car. Also, believe me you might miss the torque. But I love the S2000 and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a lot of fun

maintenance is way lower than what you'd have on the srt4. i have a co-worker whose srt4 is down seventy percent of the time due to broken parts and awaiting shipments, granted he is not stock but there always seems to be a lot more issues than my boosted celica or my na s2k...

it's mostly stock, just a couple bolt ons. yeah i've only owned the car a little over 2 months, and spent over 1k on it already...had to replace my cv axle and wheel bearing, and get a new set of tires..

i look forward to what sounds like a lower maintainence car than what im used to (i went from an audi s4 which was absolute hell to maintain to an srt-4 which wasnt much better)

thanks for all your advice

im sure the s2000 will be easier to maintain than a srt4. my boss had one and it finally broke down after 2 years.

I know it's killing you more that Dillon just got one

Do you know his name on here?

You know I've dropped some change on maintenance, but you also know how picky I am and how I like everything 100% on my car. If you go through the possible buys with a fine tooth comb and let your head guide your decision you'll spend a lot less on maintenance. Find something like Dillon and I got and you'll be fine.... even when you drive it like I do!
