Stargazing in the S!

I took one of my best friends cruising with the top down to look at the stars Friday before last... single mother needed a night out and a break from life. Her mother said she had never seen my friend that happy when I finally brought her home. She was murdered by her Ex in a parking lot two days later. ENJOY THOSE STARRY DRIVES WHENEVER YOU GET THE CHANCE. I'll always love you, Shannon. RIP.
Sorry for distracting the thread. I had to vent.
I appreciate it. She and I have been really close since freshman year of high school. I can't believe it has been 11 years... Dated on and off and on and off... and on and off and on and off in college. You guys know how that goes. She left us with 1 year old boy and a 3 year old girl who are both adorable. She was truly an angel on earth. She said that night under the stars on the backroads out in the S was like "MAGIC!" We all know every night under the stars in the S is magic though! Just a little more so that night...

A story like this just goes to show that until someone figures out how to eat from the tree of life, life is finite. We never really know how close to zero our ticker is on the cosmic clock. The only way to live is to enjoy your life as much as possible, and try to help those close to you enjoy theirs as much as possible. One of the main reasons a majority of us have picked this vehicle; we enjoy the experience of the road, and this car lets us extract those desires. Feel good in knowing that you were able to give her cherished memories during some of her last hours here on this plane. I'm sure wherever she is in the ether, she's holding on to those last memories not with tears, but with smiles.

So sad to hear stories like this, RIP Shannon
Night time ftw. It was only til the other day that I actually looked directly up into the sky as I was cruising (not safe on crowded road) and the feeling was indescribable. I wanted to sell my S, but I don' tknow how I could replace the feeling this car gives me top down, in the night.
Haven't done this yet mainly because the nights here in CO are cold, gonna have a go with the heater on though. I find myself riding with the top and windows up, no music just me and the car, it's like we are bonding I love how it almost feels like it has it's own personality. Definitley gonna go top down sometime soon. Maybe a city cruise tonight.
I recently just bought a S and my top is always off day or night but the moment when am most relaxed and the magic of the car comes out it's at nights. The feeling that you get is like nothing in the world matters and it's just you in the S just hugging curves and enjoying the small things in life.
August 12/13 would be a good night for a drive
The Perseids meteor shower is that night and I'm going to Yosemite to see it(at 10,000 ft.).
To see Yosemite by FULL MOON is something to see for yourself(if you go be sure to bring your camera and tripod for some ass kicking photos).

We love our night drives with the top down.

YOU bought a convertible and don't put the top down at night? WTH? (sorry I just find this very odd unless you are in bad neighborhood?)
