Some random things on the "to do list." Polished the gauge cluster with Novus plastic polisher. I recommend the 2 oz "fine" polisher. I couldn't figure out how to use the protectant as it left micro scratches every time.
Can't really see it from normal distance so not much of an eyesore.
Where do you see the backup image?
I have not had a front plate installed since I have had the car. California requires it but no one has ever said anything. I am seeing more and more people only having one rear plate. Quite common now.
Where did you get the S 2000 emblem? Have not seen that one before. I just used the S from a side marker set. Billman noticed I installed the S upside down! Maybe someday I will re-install.
I use a 3M professional glass polisher for my windshields (with Hex Logic pads) and found it also works perfectly well on plastic too. I got a liter on Amazon and will last forever. I keep the small specks on the windshield at bay so I don't have to replace it over time.

That would be the old Rick's S2000 badge aka Rick's Signature Accessories
Beautiful job. Should be an article, not a message. I'm exhausted just reading this thread!
Curious about the timeline. Obviously not a single weekend project.

Had the car since October of last year. Has been a long process because I had no garage space so it sat.

Yes, the car came with Rick's badges and center caps. From past posts it seems like there were two versions, one with "2000" below it and a revision without it due to legal issues. I prefer the original H but am too scared to take the emblem off. There are some copies online it seems: S Emblem

I think I have bad luck. Every car that I ran without front plates I got a ticket for. I don't mind it on the S2000, kind of looks good. This is what the rearview camera looks like on the Power Acoustiks CP71W. I mainly use it to make sure I'm far in enough to the garage.
Today I replaced the foam insulation around the shifter. Mine was sticky and turned into mush. For $5, I was able to fill the whole cavity with this foam. I like OEM but the foam is ridiculously priced. I also modified the phone mount I'm planning to put into the car. I got the
seat mount. Does not require any drilling, cutting, gluing etc. The hardware and the plastic tubing around it were ugly so I spent about $5 getting a set screw, some nuts, and 3/4 inch shrink wrap to clean it up. Added a Magsafe mount I had from another car. Mount is *very* secure. Also added a dash cam adapter. The Nissan one uses a 10-pin layout so I got one on
for about $23. Extends the cable a little and adds a USB port with a buck converter. One day when I can figure out a way to get rid of the mirror button, I can use a universal mount. More adjustability, added functionality, and the cable is not as apparent. Any tips or tricks welcomed.
Switched out the titanium bolts to a different style. Prior owner had cut out the fake vents. Put some weather stripping to protect the paint. Got new hardware to install the grills. Doesn't look too bad. Ended up getting two Moddiction Anvil 2's. One I had in stainless steel and it's quite heavy. The other I was fortunate enough to get in Titanium. They sit pretty low, trying to figure our a way to have them installed higher. There are two small weatherstrips near the convertible top drain. The glue on mine had degraded. I cleaned them up and put some 1/4 inch VHB tape. This metal bar is where the rubber needs to go. It's a PAIN. The challenging part is tucking into the foam. After applying the tape to the rubber, I didn't peel the other side until I had the weatherstrip aligned where it should be. Once in place, I peeled the red cover of the double sided tape like how you would do installing a spoiled. Here it is attached to the metal rail. Researching the part, I guess it comes as a kit for the convertible top weather seal. The alternative is to install it when replacing the top. It is possible to do it with the top on, like I did, just challenging when tucking it into place.
