Default Static Cling Vinyl

Was wondering would static cling vinyl damage the paint, I ask because I plan on putting it on for the weekend to avoid rock chips (heading to the mountains). I'm not leaving it on permanently, just temporary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Blue painters tape. Its stylish too!!!

Most vinyl I see has adhesive so I wouldn't trust it on the paint finish. If you truely have static cling vinyl then that is a different story.

Depends on weather. If there is any moisture under the static cling material or magnetic material and you spend a day in hot sun, it will cloud the clearcoat.
