So I had a thread where I was selling some random parts that I no longer needed. One of them was a brand new set of MuzMats that I never installed. I received many inquiries and had them priced at $110. They got sold.

It sounds to me that he was just trying to barter the price down and chose an odd way to do it. I can't believe that he thought he could trick you in this fashion if that was his intent.
