Going to try to place 8500 inside map light console for stealth. Looks like it should have adequate forward exposure. might use either fiber optic cable or lexan to port laser signals to the sensors. Think this is feasible? Will it work? will it look like anything? Gimmie your ideas and I'll post pics and descriptions if it works.

Unless you are hiding it to keep away from theives, I would just blatantly put it on the windshield. They are only illegal in a few areas, and Louisiana is not one of them. Cops cannot take it up for any reason.
