Default Steering pulls to right.

This list is great!!

A few days ago on the freeway I noticed a very slight tendancy to drift right. Just enough to require a slight amount of finger pressure to correct. Then in rained off and on, so today I drove up and down our road . . . yup, still there - only worse.

Did a search and found that the S2 is supposedly very sensitive to proper tire pressure. A low rear tire will cause the slight turning tendancy toward the low tire. Of course I knew that could not be my problem as I had checked the tires a week ago. Nomatter, I went out to the garage to check it again. Yup, the right rear was low, less than 5 psi!! There was one of those nail on pipe hangers stuck in near the center of the tread. Couldn't believe I had screwed up by driving it with low pressure.

Removed the wheel and took it down to Costco. They said their store policy would not allow them to patch a Z rated tire. Took it toanother tire shop and they had no problem patching it . . . guess I'll have to drive slow from now on

Anyway, just a reminder. At the slightest inkling of the steering pulling off to one side, check the tire pressure!

very true - the effect seems to worsen under acceleration too.

Yes, the tire pressure is extremely important. I was driving around on the freeway and my pressure was down to 24 psi!!! The car tended to drift to the left and felt like it was floating. I filled up the tires, and everything was fine.

I had a valve stem go bad on me while I was on the highway. As I eased on and off the throttle, my car was jerking back and forth across my entire lane. It was really tough to get across 3 lanes of traffic (and road reflectors, which really played hell with my steering) and off the next exit. Scary as hell...

You will definitely know if you ever get a flat in an S2000!

I noticed the same thing and added some air to one of the rears and it corrected the problem. I checked the presure every week since then and two weeks later I need more air, about two more pounds of presure. Anyone know if this could be a leak or a problem with the valve stem?
