Default Steering Response

Hey guys, I just spent about an hour reading through past posts about modifications that will improve steering response. I would like to know what you guys have tried that have improved the steering response on the S2000. From the posts, the mods that have been tried that have helped steering response have been:

1. X-Brace (Really for reducing flexing, but I read that it improves steering response)
2. I read that tires make a big difference
3. Aftermarket Front Sway Bars
4. More "Aggressive" Alignments

I am currently on Hankook Ventus RS-2s on all four wheels and have no aftermarket mods. I would just like to know what mods you guys feel improve the steering response for the car.

P.S. Has anyone tried the steering rack bushings from Mugen? I tried posting that in the JDM forum and I did not get much feedback. I'm sorry for asking that question in two forums now.

Thanks guys!

Short of getting a VGS steering system, your best bets are:
1- Good,very stiff walls tires;ie:So-2,or Advan Ad 07.
2-Agressive U.K.geo specs alingment.

X-braces won't help,on smooth pavement.

afwfjustin => The RS-2s are okay. The price was the main thing that attracted me to them. The wet traction is really good. The dry grip is also good for the price. I had S02s prior to these tires and I'm going back to them.

Emil => How do you like the UK Alignment? I am seriously planning on getting that alignment once the Hankooks wear down and I get some SO2s. Does it really improve the steering response that much? I noticed that the castor angle is increased which makes me happy. I like the heavier steering feel.

Improves handling and steering response, quite a bit.
Steering is more precise, car is more neutral, less oversteer.
Hard on the tires;would advise to rotate them from side to side, every 5000 miles,or so,to maximise tire life.!!

Thanks for your input I'm definitely getting the UK Alignment when I get my S02s.

Anyone else have any more input on mods to improve steering response?
