Steering Wheel Limiters
Is it bad for the car if I turn the steering wheel and hit the rotational limit with a good amount of force? When I am in a hurry, I sometimes turn the wheel really fast and it ends up at the limit before I even know it.
I do this quite frequently too ... I can never shake the habit off.

Knob assists are the only way to go to ensure full control when compromise is simply not in the vocabulary.
As a purist, I prefer the short-throw, countersunk, carbon fiber, but you can find knobs to suit your individual pursuits.
This is a mod that will keep on giving in benefits all year round (just like the jelly of the month club).

WTF?
Anytime you bang, force or hit something at it's limits it's NOT good.

If your talking about the mechanical limits of the steering ratio...just take it slower when your know your getting close to the max turning perameters.
You said it's a habit, so make a conscious effort and your problem will be corrected.

Probably safe. Unless you are really cranking it hard, the only thing I see you possibly damaging is your steering wheel or steering wheel alignment.
That's what they are there for, to keep you from breaking something.
