Default Steering Wheel Play

What is the allowable steering wheel play in a MY00?

from the service manual:
page 17-4

rotational play : 0-10 mm (0-.39 in)

not much- mine is closer to 0 than it is to 10 mm!
if more than that, the rack guide should be adjusted...

When mine had too much wheel play after my engine was repaired, it took only a couple minutes for the dealer's mechanic to fix it.

After I have the TSB for the 1-2 grind fix done the my S came up with about 5 mm of play. I don't like it at all.

Do you know the dealership will not adjust back to zero as it was prior to the TSB being done. Do you know what the dealer "fixed" to make the play less?

Thanks

[B]I might have it wrong, but, as I remember it was a matter of applying the correct torque to bolts that hold the steering column on.
