Default Steering Wheel Lock

I'm thinking about ordering a disklok, as any one else used them. I know the cars immobilser is good but the wheel lock is a very visible deterrent and if locked with wheels turned even makes it difficult to flatbed.

Sounds good for a normal deterant but would not stop some one who is a professional " nick to order " merchant with a flat bed with a grab arm.

I had a silver disklok on my last car, a very substantial piece of kit and perhaps a deterrent to the casual tea-leaf. Also stops anyone nicking your airbag (an increasingly popular crime )

I don't use it in the S2000 as I can't just pop it under the front passenger seat anymore

Check it before you buy it, I had one on my previous car, stoplock bar but it wont fit onto the smaller S2000 steering wheel.

Wooly,

I've got one of those Autolok disc-type gadgets. It fits on the wheel snugly, and does not appear to score the leather.

It's also a very effective radar dish when you can't disarm your immobiliser in a radio-interference hotspot (see 'Car completely immobilised' thread)

A friend of my fathers worked at one of these correctional facilities for misguided youths. He had one of these steering wheel lock things and one of the 'inmates' asked him why. He made him turn his back and he had the thing off (with no damage to the car) inside of 5 seconds. Since then I've never bothered.
