Default Stepping Stones for Modding.

My end result for this car is Supercharger with the associated EMS, and parts.

While I'm getting there I don't want to but things I'm going to take off later. Thus I was considering the Spoon Front bumper with built in fogs *sexy* and Invidia Exhaust, along with 4.57s???? I was going to do the 4.57s sooner then later then rims/tires (if not in the same purchase).

Anyone have a build order for their supercharged car? Or what they might do? I will most likely finish it before the summers over so it won't be spread out over years.

Thnx ahead of time.

I personally enjoy the time in between mods. However, to answer your question, it really depends on what you want (Performance vs. Looks). For me, performance is more important.

1. Gears - very good upgrade, you'll love them. 4.57s are good for ap1 F/I applications
2. Exhaust (however, if you are planning on F/I, you might want to go with one that has a 3" diameter) Also remember that a single makes more power then a dual
3. Supercharger + EMS - get the EMS once you have all your bolt ons, that way you won't have to tune for N/A and again for F/I

Rims and bumper...somewhere in between.

this is a dumb question, but why does a single make more power than a dual exhaust?

It flows better than a dual with a Y pipe.

What's the bottom line on a Supercharger installed generally for the s2k? I can't seem to lock down that value.

See sig. My budget (including the car) is about $22,000 for all. You can get a good deal on used kits on this board. I got my polished kit for $2200 with only 12k miles. Fuel pump and hardware was missing though.

Definitely do not go with a dual exhaust. Dual exhaust doesn't gain anything on an NA car, and on a FI car you won't get anywhere near your potential power. A 3" single exhaust/TP is definitely the best setup for forced induction. Since no aftermarket company that I know of makes a 3" exhaust, find somebody to custom build one. You won't have to be too picky because for FI, you just want big piping and as much of a straight line as possible. The Vortech supercharger adds about 100whp with the vortech tune. With a 3" exhaust and a well-tuned standalone, you're probably looking at >120whp over stock. Hope this helps.

If you are going with a single, add a new single exhaust bumper cap to your 'to buy' list. The car looks horrible with a dual cut out and only 1 exhaust tip.

The thought of used right now just really doesn't spark my interest. I don't know enough about them to make sure I am not missing anything when I go to get one.

New and Installed what am I looking at?
