Definitely do not go with a dual exhaust. Dual exhaust doesn't gain anything on an NA car, and on a FI car you won't get anywhere near your potential power. A 3" single exhaust/TP is definitely the best setup for forced induction. Since no aftermarket company that I know of makes a 3" exhaust, find somebody to custom build one. You won't have to be too picky because for FI, you just want big piping and as much of a straight line as possible. The Vortech supercharger adds about 100whp with the vortech tune. With a 3" exhaust and a well-tuned standalone, you're probably looking at >120whp over stock. Hope this helps.
While i do agree with you single would probably yield more power
on a single exhaust
but do not say that duals do not make power
i made over 10WHP with my invidia setup
which is about the same gains as a VAFC 2 tune give or take a few.

you don't need EMS with a supercharger unless you're going to run higher than stock boost. both kits some with a piggyback.

I would just drive the car stock for a while ... quite fun even at stock form, without all the troubles of mods

It's not going to stay stock, but normally a great suggestion for most, I'm humble enough to say I'm new to 4 wheels but I've been racing bikes for years, just wanted to get a cage around me after my last shindig with the wall at summit point.

I also have in the works to obtain another s2k so that I have one NA and one F/I.

i went from bikes (see avatar) to S2K and i modded mine to make me feel more at home (two wheels).

first thing i did was change out the 16" wheels to 17" lighter weight and wider wheels to get wider tires for more traction and stiffer sidewalls (and much better look). running 225s up front and 255s in the rear.

the second thing i did was upgrade the suspension (spoon showa dampers and swift springs) to get rid of the wheel gap and increase the handling performance. i also added a stiffer (swift) front sway bar to reduce the oversteer and help deal with the extra traction with the meatier tires. dont get too stiff of springs or an overly stiff sway bar - you will just lose traction unless you're running R compounds.

the third thing i did was change my final drive gear ratio.. stock is 4.10, i went with 4.77's. i also got the comptech reinforced differential to withstand a bit more abuse. this gives the car a lot more low end grunt, which is where it really lacks. it gives the car a MUCH MUCH better powerband. especially when the supercharger starts to kick in around 6000RPM, you will really want the low end grunt gears give you that the charger wont.

the next thing i did was upgrade the clutch and get a lightweight flywheel. got the car used with 40k on it, and i doubt the clutch would last much longer by adding another 100horsepower to it. the ultra light flywheel helps some of the parasitic drag that the supercharger adds. makes the car a lot more rev happy.

after that i upgraded to 4pot brakes (brembos) to deal with heat and keep my stopping distances consistent on the track, and to deal with the extra power. also reducing weight on suspension parts helps a lot. the stock brake system on the S2K is great though. if you dont plan on tracking, the stock setup with new pads and fluid will lock up your tires before you phase the stock system.

after all of that i threw on my supercharger for the top end boost that i was seeking. i'm pretty happy with everything, except that i'd like to upgrade the entire fuel system in the future to run a little bit more boost. i'm boosting 5.5psi now and i made 301whp/188tq... i'd like to be boosting around 8psi with the gearing setup i have. i figure with 8psi and upgraded to test pipe/single exhaust my motor can hit 340-350whp and be where i want it.

good luck with your setup.

If you are going with a single, add a new single exhaust bumper cap to your 'to buy' list. The car looks horrible with a dual cut out and only 1 exhaust tip.
x2 looks like you have the other muffler on layaway
