Sticky tires + 9k rpm clutch drop = ?
So I have had my car for a year, done some track days and plenty of street driving. I have slid it around and launched it hard a few times with all seasons. The car will launch hard, but ultimately falls off before getting into the high cam. To do a full out 0-60mph launch, I feel like I would need to drop the clutch pretty hard, maybe redline. Now I have sticky tires (BFG Rivals) and wonder if the drivetrain can even take that abuse. I am no drag racer, just wondering what is the weak spot on these cars?
OK once in a while or stick to the twistys? My car is a MY00 with 22k, all stock

You'll turn your diff into a metal blender. Unless you upgrade the diff to a ford 9" or something of the sort, you'll be in for a real mess. Stick to the twisties dude

if you red line clutch drop w/ sticky tires you will most likely break something. S2000's are not made to really drag race or accelerate hard out of a dig. You CAN do it if you'd like, just make sure you have the supporting mods to perform that task.

Put some tension on your drivetrain and try it. It'll survive a few launches for sure. I've seen it done on m/t's on prepped track with 450whp for 10 launches in a row. It will probably break eventually but dumping the clutch is nowhere near as bad as wheel hop during burnouts and shit.
