nice, so i got a quote for an 09 cr
for 31,7xx
is it worth the extra 3k to have an 09?
or do you think it won't matter as far as resale later on?
stageup, how many miles were on the CRs and base models you drove?

All the CRs I looked at (like, a year ago) had 200+ miles, which I didn't like.

I almost bought an 08 CR with 9k miles for 23000 back in Dec but somehow the seller flaked on me. I almost booked the plane tickets to go get it too :/. On the bright side I got my dream combo of gpw/red black interior.

so the dealer called me today and left a vm
"hi we still have the 3 apex blues here, let me know if you already bought something or if we can work on numbers"

lol i guess they really want to get rid of them even tho some guy from the dealership said they were working with honda to ship them to another state/dealer to sell @ msrp.

i'll see what he says tomorrow, if i get the price i want i bet he will jack me on my trade-in

You got them now!

Tell them that you're negotiating with dealer "X" on a "regular" S2000 for "Y" money. Also tell them that they have offered you "Z" on your trade in. Be reasonable in your prices.

Tell them if they can sell the CR to you for that price with that trade in, done deal. If not, you'll just buy the "regular" one.

If they try to give you crap about "but the MSRP on this one is higher!!!" tell them that "it doesn't have a soft top, so why would I buy the CR over a regular one?"

Maybe $27k for the CR with normal Edmunds / KBB trade in value for your existing car? Note that if you're trading in, that may reduce your sales tax and you could get to your $28k OTD, yet.

Make sure the $27k includes the stupid "destination fee." Don't pay separately for that junk.

Excellent advice... That is pretty much what I did to get my CR...
