Yes, there are TTL calculators out there... you can use that to estimate your TTL so you stay on budget.

It'll be easier for them to calculate their margin if you compare apples to apples.

I personally enjoyed working via the Internet departments. They expect a savvier type of consumer. I did my homework and made a fair offer. They didn't haggle or nickel-and-dime me. Conversely, I didn't haggle or nickel-and-dime them. The price was the price and the total email time was 15 minutes. The total face time was another 15 minutes. I got a deal I'm happy with and a car I'm excited to drive.

It's about respect and that should be a two-way street. They gave me the hardtop stand and cover without me asking. I didn't insult them by trying to game them out of a few more dollars and vice-versa.

I think the guy CKit is talking about is me. To everyone who is interested here is the deal I got exactly as it appears on my contract.

Before I go over this, there are is one major thing to remember. It was late January when I bought mine and there was a foot of snow on the ground so I'm thinking that worked in my favor.

Interestingly the color on my car is listed as nighthawk black. Whatever, it's a BB with AC and radio.

MSRP - $37935.00
Wheel locks/Top Stand - $717.55
Window Tint - $249.00
Venture Shield - $499.00
Services Fee - $95.00

Discount - $12924.93

Cash Price - $26570.62

+ TTL = OTD price - $28093.72
Yup

I used your deal to give our dealer some "perspective." Then I "cut them a break" by offering a little more than you paid figuring that Summer + stabilizing economy were working against me.

Thanks again!

Another thing to add. Another local dealer offered me a yellow delete car for $1,000 less than I paid. I need A/C.

A couple of other dealers that called me after I made my deal and said they couldn't come close to that price, if it's true I should snap it up.

I also agree with the sentiments on arguing over a couple bucks here and there. I actually got my deal done in about 6 hours.

Car had $29,990+TTL in the window

First I emailed them with an offer of $26,500 OTD.

Got a call back about 2 hours later saying $28,100 OTD was the best they could do.

I told them that if they could throw in the hard top stand for that price I'd do it.

Wrote them a check that evening.

31,xxx is a fair price. It is below invoice after all. After seeing you guys paying less than 30k OTD, it makes me feel bad getting mines as I paid 35 OTD. It was the last known white available in the whole CA too. sigh....

Getting an 08 or 09 CR wouldn't be any different. No changes betweeen the two years at all.

Lol, I think you've answered your own question! You only think the Apex Blue CR is worth $28/$29 OTD, but the White $35. To be truly happy, just look for a White and make a reasonable offer.

i did find a dealer with a black one, but they said they are selling for msrp only and have no problems holding onto it for a few years....
