Stock boot cover.
I've had the same problems with my cover not staying down and in place. Its crazy when you go put the cover on, and everything is fine, but by the time you have gone 10 miles, the back of the cover has come loose.
I don't think there is any chance of it coming off, but it sure is annoying!

Got mine last April, never used the boot cover until about 45 days ago. Same problems as reported. Pulled into Norm Reeves Honda in Huntington Beach and asked the svc manager for instruction. He brought out their head tech and pronounced my boot cover was defective. Two days later my new cover arrived. Took a couple of minutes to put it on. I have it down to a minute or less now. It is a pain in the ass, but it sure makes my black/black S2000 look fine.

all i want is one that is quicker to put on and easier to stash (in a smaller space). perhaps a simple stretchy neoprene one or something. i'm simply not willing to give up 80% of my trunk storage for it so i never use it (not to mention the fact that it takes too long to put on and doesn't stay on well).
Interesting thread.....I commented to someone (here) about a photo with their top down and snow all around. His top clearly was not lowered as far as mine goes. Mine goes all the way down. If you check out pictures you will see there is some variation in lowering. I checked the manual for limit switches or adjustments to help this individual. I indicated there should be some. After reviewing the manual I find it is controlled by a control module. Anyone here found an adjustment? I can't!......Luckily I don't need to....mine goes ALL the way down already

Funny that this topic of the top not going all the way down came up now. A week ago, I couldn't get my boot cover on. The snaps were unreachable because a top bar was in the way. I gave up at that time and drove without it.
Later that night, I'm in the garage determined to figure it out. I discovered it WASN'T going all the way down. The first bar of the top to go into the top well wasn't folding right. In order to fix it, I guide the first bar down with a little pressure while the top is retracting. It folds better when I do this and then the boot fits better.
I'm now wondering if it's a defect or is this top hard to make fold right?

Barry whose boot cover is impossible to attach because you can't reach the snaps with your fingers...
WOW!
This thread got more traction than I expected
Thanks to all that replied! I think my issue is the top not going down far enough. I know it is not a temperature thing (since it was a beautiful 75deg day here in Austin). We had 10 or 11 stook all lined up on the highway today
I am going to compare how far down some of the other stook owners tops retract. I just got my car the middle of last week so I'm sure if it is a defect the dealer will square it away. But seeing that the problem is wide spread, confirms it is a design flaw not a fluke.
My problem is not with the snaps, I can get all those locked in place without a lot of problem. It is the little plastic tabs that hook in the back that tick me off. They never hold it down. I'm not worried about loosing the cover, I don't think it could ever come off. It just looks very tacky flopping around back there!
Again thanks for all the comments on this topic everyone!

Try this...
Make sure the boot cover is not resting on top of the studs in the middle.
Afix the straps on both sides.
Start on the outermost snap on one side and then the next one in. (I'm right handed so I start on the passenger side out of habit). Then walk around the car and repeat the same procedure on the other side. Don't try and do the inside snap first.
Mine literally falls onto the studs for the snaps if I do it this way.
Once done ensure the sides (both sides) of the boot are securely tucked into place then walk around the back and tuck the rest of the cover in.
I have never had a problem (at any speed) with my boot cover coming loose.
Hope this helps someone.

I noticed that the back of mine was popped up today so I need to look into this as well and see if my top is foldeing down all the way. It is a pain to put on but I can do it and want to so the inside of the top does not fade. I do wish I had a garage to store it in so I don't have to use the trunk.
Anyway, I will look into it some more this week

I also had the same problem with the very back of the cover coming. I had my dealer. Holler Honda in Orlando, order a replacement cover. So far it is working fine however, I could not see any difference between the two. The service mgr, Lee, said he had to order it with a different part number than the original top cover.
