Hey all, Ive searched the topic and Ive tried both a store bought CD and a burned cd. The problem is when I insert the cd into the stock 2002 head unit it accepts it and then later ejects it after about 3 seconds. No errors display on the head unit, it just simply ejects it. Is the CD player toast??

 

You know when its time to get a new head unit? When you buy the car.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, I had an Acura TL that did the same (under warranty though).

It is pretty cheap to get a new aftermarket head unit, and a HUGE improvement on sound quality.

They were pieces of shit from day 1. Get an aftermarket head unit and you'll be much happier.

Changing an AP1 radio is really easy.

 

just changed out the head unit with another stock 02 one . I was never an audiophile and this will do for now thanks guys
