Default stock counter sunk knob

hi i was just wondering if anyone makes or sells counter suck stock shifht knobs. i have a my04 and i love the stock shift knob and would like to keep it. i also want a counter sunk knob, so i was wondering if you guys had any info on shops that could do a custom job or if anyone sells them.

Two problems with that method:

1) It isn't really fully countersunk. It will be further "screwed on" then with the lock nut, but the threads in the OEM knob do not go all the way to the top of the knob.

2) You can't get the shift pattern to line up correctly without the lock nut (well i can't anyways, i tried).

Anyone else have any other methods?

can a machine shop add a few threads in your shift knob for your?

DJ Cube machined his stock knob down to make it countersunk. He had a thread a few years ago.

i was wondering if a machine shop could that that for me, but i have no clue where one is. i am located in No.VA. do you guys know of any place around here that can do it?
