Default Stock exhaust with removed resonator?

Has anyone removed the resonator on their stock exhaust setup to see how it sounds? Deeper? Louder? Any difference?

Thanks for the info...

There are numerous threads already about this.
I did mine and apparently in my searching it all depends on the quality of work the shop does for you.

My resonatorectomy sounded good but reeeeally raspy at certain RPM's, and mostly from outside the car. Had this done for a few months and it did make the car a little louder.. I liked it for an almost free mod...
It just made me want an exhaust.

However.... after getting my Invidia catback .... wow...
Worth the 30 bucks or so to get it done... cept it will make you crave an actual exhaust.

The reason why no one bother even answering this is because you dont use the search button. This is actually my second time writing this to someone about the same subject. Search through the pages i bet you will find something buddy and im not trying to be anal or nething.

Just so you don't need to search, and because I'm not even sure if search is working again yet...

Many, many owners do this. Make sure it's done at a quality shop though, because a leak will sound horrible. If done correctly (no leaks), it will sound deeper, a fair amount (25% maybe?) louder, and will be a huge improvement when the top is down. HP gains are pretty much nill, but the sound is worth the little bit this costs.

Biggest waste of my money. I don't see why people praise it so much. It made the exhaust note only slightly louder, and a little raspier. After I put the test pipe on it made it sound like a bunch of bees. However I must note that I have a hardtop on, and many people have said that you won't notice much unless the top is down. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't have done it though.

Any chance of sound clips of this mod?

Sounds clips would be great...

I have the Apexi N1 muffler with a Magnapack resonator on and it is too loud for me... a sound clip of the stock exhaust with resonator removed would be great...

The mod does sound great however it WILL rasp when the pipes are cold. If you are a performance oriented person, you'd be better off with a test pipe. For those who want a small boost in sound, go right on ahead. This mod would be perfect for you.

If I were to do it again, I'd get a test pipe or 25 double cheese burgers from McDonalds.
